These gloves are sourced from JD Brown. This pair of EVERLAST manufactured red leather gloves with black trim were worn by Sugar Ray Leonard during training for his fight against Kevin Howard. Leonard, coming back from retirement, fought Howard on May 11, 1984 in the DCU Center in Massachusetts. These are the first pair of thumbless gloves that Sugar Ray Leonard trained with. Howard knocked down Leonard for the first time in his professional career, but Leonard responded and won by TKO in the ninth round. The “EVERLAST” logo appears on the outer wrist of both gloves in black print. The left-handed glove is signed by Leonard in black marker and has a 7 overall rating. The gloves are in EX condition, they are properly tagged, were presented to us as fight-worn and show appropriate wear. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
