Oversized “EVERLAST” manufactured boxing glove used to promote the World Heavyweight Championship title fight between Larry Holmes and James “Bone Crusher” Smith on November 9, 1984. Commemorative gloves like this one were commonly used at press conferences promoting upcoming fights. The gold leather, right-handed glove weighs 3.5 lbs. and measures approximately 23” x 12” x 8”. The glove has been hand-letter in black paint to read “WORLD - HEAVYWEIGHT - CHAMPIONSHIP - Champion - Larry HOLMES vs. - “Bone Crusher” - SMITH - LAS VEGAS, NV. NOV. 9, 1984 - DON KING & RIVIERA HOTEL - PRODUCTION”. The glove is in EX condition.
