“MICHIGAN STATE ATHLETIC BOARD OF CONTROL” boxing contract between “THOMAS HEARNS” and “EMANUEL STEWARD” dated March 10, 1978. The compensation is listed at $1,000. Both fighters signatures are at the bottom of the contract in pen rating an 8. The third page of the contract appears to be a rough draft of agreements. JSA was inconclusive because of the lack of examples. Also included in the lot is more than ten (10) Francois Botha original signed contracts. One with Sports Network Europe, where the third page has a hand-written edit. Each page is initialed by Botha and promoter Sterling McPherson. One with Lennox Lewis created by Frank Warren. Multiple contracts through Don King productions. A bout agreement for Botha’s fight with Mike Tyson with Botha and McPherson signatures. A contract for his fight with Larry Holmes. A management agreement and others. Both Tyson signatures were authenticated.
