After leading the Old Dominion Monarchs to the Division II title game, Twardzik was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers but elected to play for the Virginia Squires of the ABA. After four seasons, the ABA folded and Twardzik rejoined the Trail Blazers as a free agent, where he captured an NBA championship in 1977. This uniform was worn during the final year of the ABA’s existence. Inside the left tail is a “PEARSON” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a orange felt strip tag that reads “40-75” in blue stitching. Across the front reads “SQUIRES”. Below and on the back is player number “13”. Across the back reads “TWARDZIK” sewn directly onto a white nameplate. These are done in the same blue tackle twill. Inside the rear waistline of the shorts is a “PEARSON” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a white felt strip tag that reads “34HR-75” in blue stitching. Player number “13” is written in orange marker on the waistline. On the left side of the shorts is the two whales logo in blue tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from Dave Twardzik.
