As the clock wound down on 11/23/1991, Michael Jordan was seconds away from leading the Chicago Bulls to their ninth straight victory. With the game in hand, a Denver Nuggets player fouled Jordan with under five seconds remaining instead of letting him slam it home before the buzzer. As Jordan stepped to the line for his second free-throw, Jordan had some fun with Dikembe Mutombo, looked at him and said “Hey Mutombo. This one’s for you,” and swished the second attempt with his eyes closed. A white “Nike” manufactured “Air Jordan VI Carmine” sneaker with black and red trim. The back of the left-footed sneaker reads “NIKE AIR” embroidered in red stitching. The tongue has “AIR JORDAN” with a “Jumpman” logo below embroidered in black stitching. This sneaker is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a ball boy LOA.
