Quarterback and place kicker George Blanda was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame 1981. While playing an unprecedented 26 seasons, Blanda was a three-time AFL champion and the 1961 AP AFL MVP. Inside the rear collar is a “May & Hallas” manufacturer’s tag. Attached are two flag tags that read “48” and “DRY CLEAN ONLY”. The neckline, end of both sleeves and bottom of the sweater has an orange stripe trim. Across the back reads “BEARS” in orange felt lettering sewn directly onto the wool sweater. On the left sleeve near the wrist is the number “16” in the same lettering. This sweater has had team repairs. This sweater is properly tagged, was presented to us as sideline worn attributed to Blanda, and in our opinion shows wear.
