Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005, Dan Marino established himself as one of the best pure passers in NFL history. His 1984 season was one for the ages, as Marino won NFL MVP, NFL Offensive Player of the Year, reached the Super Bowl, became the first quarterback to throw for 5,000 yards in one season and became the first quarterback to throw 40 touchdowns in one season. On the front left tail is a “Starter” manufacturer’s tag with two attached flag tags that read “2” L.B.” and “54”. On the right inseam is a tag with washing instructions. Inside the rear collar is a “98-54” strip tag. On the v-neck is an official “NFL” logo shield embroidered. Below reads “DOLPHINS” in white stitching. Player number “13” appears on the front, back and both shoulders in white on orange on black triple tackle twill. Across the back reads “MARINO” in white on orange tackle twill sewn onto a nameplate. Below the player number on each shoulder is a “Starter’ logo and a “Dolphins” logo embroidered. This is first Marino example with a crotch piece that we have handled. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an additional LOA.
