The 1965 NFL Championship Game featured the Green Bay Packers hosting the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau field. Both sides came into the game with a high-powered rushing attack; the Packers with the one-two punch of Taylor and Hornung vs. Cleveland and the great Jim Brown. A heavy snowstorm followed by rain turned Lambeau field into a mudbath. Lombardi’s defense held Brown to just 50 rushing yards in what would be his final game, while Hornung ran for 105 yards and Taylor 96. Protected by offensive captain Bob Skoronski, Jerry Kramer, and the rest of offensive line, the Packers’ ground game pounded the Browns with 47 rushing attempts that proved to be the difference in the game. This size 11.5, 10k white gold players ring weighs 33 grams. The top panel reads “WORLD CHAMPIONS 1965 GREEN BAY PACKERS” surrounding a synthetic round-cut diamond that sits atop a white gold football and a green stone. Then green stone has two small chips at each end of the football. The left panel displays a banner engraved with the player name “SKORONSKI” above the casted image of Lambeau Field. Below that is a casted image of a football engraved with the player number “76” and “CHARACTER” engraved below. The right panel displays a banner with the final score “GREEN BAY - 23 CLEVELAND 12”. Below that is a casted image of the NFL shield, the Green Bay Packers “G” logo and “DEDICATION” engraved below. The inside of the ring is stamped “JOSTEN 10K”. The ring is in EX condition with moderate wear. Comes with a letter of provenance.
