1960s Atlanta Braves Team-Issued Minor League Home Flannel Jersey

On the front left tail is a “Wilson” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Across the chest reads “BRAVES”. Player number “42” appears on both the front and on the back. All lettering and numbering are done in the same red on navy blue tackle twill. The left sleeve has the “Braves” logo patch embroidered. There are four holes under each sleeve area. This jersey is properly tagged and shows appropriate use.

We were told by our consignor that this shirt was issued to veteran pitcher Joey Jay. Jay was traded mid-season from the Cincinnati Reds to the Atlanta Braves which is why this shirt is void of any player or year identification.
