Nolan Ryan was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991. Ryan threw seven no hitters, the most in MLB history and won a World Series Championship in 1969. He led the MLB in strikeouts 11 times and has the most career strikeouts by a wide margin. On the front left tail is a tackle twill tag that has “SET 2/18 1993” embroidered on it in blue stitching. Inside the rear collar is a “W.A. Goodman & Sons” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Across the front reads “Rangers”. Player number “34” appears on both the front and on the back. These are done in the same blue on red tackle twill. Across the back reads player name “RYAN” in blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the jersey. On the left sleeve is a “TEXAS RANGERS BASEBALL ARLINGTON STADIUM 1972-1993” patch. Ryan signed the front of the jersey in blue marker with the added inscription, “‘93 Rangers - 3.19 E.R.A. - 234 Wins - 5,714 K’s - 7 No Hitters” and in our opinion, rates an 8 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA, an additional LOA and a Nolan Ryan Foundation LOA for the signature. The additional LOA states the special tagging was to indicate the 18 home starts he was scheduled to pitch that season, this being the second out of the expected 18 starts.
