On the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “48” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached are two tags that read “2 INCH EXTRA LENGTH” and “SET 1 1988”. Across the front reads “BOSTON”. Player number “48” is on the back. On the right sleeve reads “Rawlings”. Smith signed the front of the jersey in black pen with the added inscription, “29 Saves ‘88” and in our opinion, rates an 8. Inside on the rear waistline of the pants is a “Rawlings” size “38” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached are two strip tags that read “48 31” and “88”. Flag tag attached that reads “SET 1 1988”. Player number “48” is written in black marker in two places. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
