In 2004, the Boston Red Sox won their first World Series Championship in 86 years. Manny Ramirez was awarded with the World Series MVP. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached are two flag tags that read “54 100% POLYESTER” and “+4” Armhole Opening”. Below is a strip tag with “2004” embroidered on it. On this tag is Manny Ramirez hologram sticker “1204”. Across the chest reads “RED SOX”. On the back is player number “24”. Both are done in the same red on navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the white jersey. On the rear collar is an official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is a “Russell Athletic” logo embroidered. Ramirez signed the jersey on the front left shoulder area in black marker with the added inscription, “W.S. MVP” and in our opinion, rates an 8. There are dirt stains throughout and shows great signs of game-use. This jersey is a personal order (not team) of Ramirez, as he was known to order and wear more jerseys that most teammates. The "2004" year tag and flag tags were added post delivery and do not match what is typical of jerseys from the era. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA, a Manny Ramirez LOA and an additional LOA.
