In 1996, Alex Rodriguez was among those selected to represent the MLB on the biannual post-season tour of Japan. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “48” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached are two flag tags that read “100% POLYESTER” and “2” EXTRA BODY LENGTH”. Below is a strip tag that reads “1996”. Across the front reads “MARINERS” in navy blue on teal on white triple tackle twill. Across the back reads player name “RODRIGUEZ”. Below is player number “3”. Both of these are done in the same navy blue on teal tackle twill. Rodriguez signed the jersey in blue marker adjacent to the player number “3” with the added inscription, “1996 Game Used Reg Season + Tour Of Japan” and in our opinion, rates a 7. On the player number “3” is an “AROD” hologram sticker “7523”. On the right sleeve is a “1996 JAPAN ALL STAR TOUR” patch above a “Rawlings” logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is a “SEATTLE MARINERS” logo disc patch. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and five additional LOAs.
