Honus Wagner was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 as one of the first five members ever inducted. He was an eight-time batting champion and won the World Series in 1909. After playing in Pittsburgh for 18 years, he was a coach for the team for almost 20 seasons. Inside on the rear sweatband is a “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag. On the inside of the hat, “Wagner” is written in marker. On the front is a yellow Pirates “P” logo embroidered. Our consignor has had the cap for over 20 years. This cap is properly tagged, was presented to us as attributed to Honus Wagner and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
