First-ballot Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn was inducted in 2007. He won eight NL Batting Titles and was a 15-time All-Star. He also won the Silver Slugger Award seven times. On the inside rear waistband of the pants is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “39” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a tag that reads “100% POLYESTER” and “H-CUT”. On this tag, “2995” is written it black pen. Adjacent is a strip tag that reads “19-39-41 30-99”. On this tag, “2995 VS STL 8-2-99” is written in black pen. Gwynn signed the pants adjacent to the strip tag in blue pen, and in our opinion, rates an 8. On the back above the pocket is a “Russell Athletic” logo embroidered. Inside on the rear sweatband is a “New Era” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is an “MLB AUTHENTIC Diamond COLLECTION” tag and a size “7 1/8” tag. On the inside, player number “19” is written in black pen. On the underside of the brim written in black pen reads, “2995 8/2/99 VS STL”. On the back of the hat is an official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the front of the hat is a “SD” logo embroidered in white and orange stitching. Gwynn signed the top of the brim in white marker and in our opinion, rates an 8. These items are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and Gwynn family LOA.
