Hammerin’ Hank ended his 23-year storied baseball career with the Milwaukee Brewers. 1975 marked the first season back in Milwaukee after breaking Babe Ruth’s home run record in Atlanta the season before in 1974. He won a World Series and NL MVP in 1957 and currently holds MLB records for total bases, RBI and extra-base hits. He finished with a .305 career batting average, 3,771 hits, 755 home runs and 2,297 RBI. On the front left tail is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag that reads “Designed & Tailored Exclusively For The Milwaukee Brewers”. Below is a “Sand-Knit” size “44” tag with washing instructions. Below is a strip tag that reads “H. AARON 75 44”. Across the front reads “BREWERS”. Player number “44” appears on both the front and on the back. These are done in the same blue on yellow tackle twill sewn directly onto the powder blue knit jersey. Aaron signed the jersey below the front player number “44” in blue pen and in our opinion, rates an 8 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an additional LOA.
