Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003, Gary Carter has his No. 8 retired by the Montreal Expos. Inside the batting helmet is a “american baseball cap” size “7 3/8” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a warning label. On the back is an “ABC” logo sticker adjacent to an “MLB” logo sticker. On the front is an “M” Expos logo decal. On the bill reads “CARTER” on a white piece of tape. Each shin guard has an “ALL-STAR” logo on each knee. Below is an official “MLB” logo with model number “LG21W-PRO”. On the strap of the chest protector is an official “MLB” tag and an “ALL-STAR” manufacturer’s tag. On the front left chest reads “ALL-STAR”. On the inside of the sweatband is a “New Era PRO MODEL” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is an official “MLB” tag and a size “7 ¼” tag. Inside the number “8” is written in black marker. On the front is an “M” Expos logo embroidered in red, white and blue stitching. These items are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Carter Foundation LOA.

Lots 128–136 presented in this auction are consigned to us directly from the Carter Family in an effort to raise money for their charity, The Gary Carter Foundation.
