An OAL baseball signed by the 1962 New York Yankees, back-to-back World Champions after winning it all in 1961. The thrilling 1962 Fall Classic between the Yankees and the Giants went to seven games with the Bronx Bombers taking home the title after a 1-0 victory in the deciding Game 7. Signatures include Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle (1962 MVP), Yogi Berra and Roger Maris. Other signatures include: Tony Kubek, Bobby Richardson, Dale Long, Luis Arroyo, Ralph Houk, Bill Stafford, Hector Lopez, Marshall Bridges, Johnny Sain, Ralph Terry, Jim Bouton, Phil Linz, Johnny Blanchard, Bud Daley, Tom Tresh, Elston Howard and Jack Reed – nearly the same cast that won it all in 1961. The 1962 Yankees brought the franchise their 20th World Championship. All signatures are done in blue pen and rates a 7-8 overall. Adjacent to the right of Berra’s signature is “1964” penned in an unknown hand, it appears to have once read "1962" but the "4" was re-written over the "2". Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA as well as an additional LOA.
