The New York Americans were a professional ice hockey team based in New York, New York from 1925 to 1942. They were the third expansion team in the history of the NHL and the second to play in the United States. Inside on the rear front tail is a “REX TAYLOR & CO.” Across the front reads “AMERICANS” in white felt lettering and “NEW YORK” in red felt on blue felt lettering. Above “AMERICANS” are 20 white felt stars and the same amount of stars are across the back. There are a few small holes throughout the sweater. A single digit numeral has been removed from the back. This sweater is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. It is in outstanding condition considering its age.
