As a freshman at St. Vincent-St. Mary high school in Akron, Ohio, LeBron James averaged 18 ppg and scored 25 in the Division III state title game to capture the championship. “Rawlings” manufactured commemorative award basketball with alternating white and green panels. On one of the white panels is a stamp that reads “2000 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - OHIO HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION”. There are seven signatures on the basketball, all in black marker, including James’ and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. Due to the nature of this ball being signed so early in James' career, JSA's authenticators were unable to confirm or deny the signature's authenticity. This is one of the earliest LeBron signatures. Accompanied by an LOA from LeBron's high school teammate Sian Cotton.
