On December 13, 1991, the Boston Celtics retired Hall of Famer Dennis Johnson’s No. 3 jersey and cemented his place in Celtics and NBA history. The 23” x 17” wooden case with no front cover has a 17 ½” x 12” green tackle twill banner with eight white tackle twill rectangles on it. The upper left rectangle has a green tackle twill “3” on it. There’s a plaque below the banner that reads “DENNIS JOHNSON NIGHT - BOSTON GARDEN - DECEMBER 13, 1991 - NUMBER 3 HAS NOW JOINED THOSE OF - THE OTHER CELTICS LEGENDS RAISED - ABOVE THE GARDEN PARQUET”. Accompanied by a Johnson family LOA.
