This item had the honor of being displayed in the New York Football Giants Legacy Club. Michael Strahan will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014. In 2001, Strahan was voted AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year and set the single-season sacks record (22.5). He is fifth all time in career sacks and won a Super Bowl in 2007 in his final season. On the front left tail is a “Nike” size “44” manufacturer’s tag. Attached is a flag tag with “6”L.B.”. Adjacent is a “GIANTS 1991 SET 1 MeiGrayGroup” strip tag. On the right inseam is a tag with washing instructions. Inside the rear collar is a “99-44” strip tag. On the v-neck is an “NFL” shield logo embroidered. On the left chest is an “NY 75 1925-1999 SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS OF GIANTS FOOTBALL” patch. Player number “92” appears on the front, back and on both shoulders in white on red tackle twill sewn directly on the blue mesh jersey. Across the back reads “STRAHAN” in white tackle twill on a blue nameplate. Above each player number on the shoulder is a “Nike” logo embroidered. This jersey exhibits a custom layer of felt like material which is sewn onto the inside of the shirt, under the front numbers and upper shoulder. This was a custom made jersey per player request and it is the first time we have ever seen this type of alteration. Presumably the best Strahan in the hobby. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
