The Howard gloves are sourced from JD Brown. This pair of EVERLAST manufactured red leather gloves with black trim were worn by Kevin Howard during his fight against Sugar Ray Leonard. Leonard, coming back from retirement, fought Howard on May 11, 1984 in the DCU Center in Massachusetts. Both fighters wore thumbless gloves to protect Leonard from previous eye surgeries. Howard knocked down Leonard for the first time in his professional career, but Leonard responded and won by TKO in the ninth round. The “EVERLAST” logo appears on the outer wrist of both gloves in black print with a “KH” inscription in pen. The gloves are in EX condition, they are properly tagged, were presented to us as fight-worn and show appropriate wear. The McCallum fight-worn gloves were originally sourced from Mike "The Body Snatcher" McCallum. “EVERLAST” manufactured red leather gloves. The original laces are mostly missing. The number “21106” is stamped on the palm of each glove. The initials “MM” appear on the inside of each wrist in green pen. The gloves are properly tagged, were presented to us as fight-worn and in our opinion show great use. It is accompanied by a photo of our consignor with McCallum.
