This item had the honor of being displayed in the New York Football Giants Legacy Club. This 3” diameter gold-colored medal weighs 8.6 oz. and is attached to a red, white and blue ribbon measuring approximately 38”. The face of the medal reads “GIANTS SUPER HOMECOMING” in relief along the top with the silhouette of the state of New Jersey and laurelled leaves below. The verso of the medal is engraved “Presented by Governor Thomas H. Kean - January 27, 1987 - Giants Stadium”. January 27 was two days after the Giants victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI and the date of the team’s homecoming to Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The medal is in NRMT condition.
