Earvin “Magic” Johnson was the most mesmerizing guard in NBA history. His style of play, passing flair and ability to control a game from start to finish was second to none. The five-time NBA Champion won three NBA Finals MVP and regular season MVP awards, including one during the 1988-89 season. Johnson averaged 22.5 points, 12.8 assists and 7.9 rebounds per game and made yet another NBA Finals appearance. Johnson was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History and was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in 2002. On the front left tail is a strip tag that reads, “Designed & Tailored Exclusively For LOS ANGELES LAKERS”. Below is a “MacGregor Sand-Knit” size “42” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent are two white swatches that read, “88” and “2”LB”. On the right inseam is a “100% NYLON” tag with washing instructions. On the left chest is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the front reads “LAKERS”. Player number “32” appears on both the front and on the back. Across the back reads player name “JOHNSON”. All numbering and lettering are done in the same purple on white tackle twill sewn directly onto the yellow mesh jersey. The jersey is signed by Johnson in white pen inside the back player number “2” and adjacent to the front player number “3” in black pen and in our opinion, rate an 9 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. This jersey is accompanied by a Lakers LOA that states the jersey is sourced directly from the late Dr. Jerry Buss. Also accompanied by an LOA from JSA for the two signatures, as well as a high-resolution photomatch.
