In 1996, Gail Goodrich cemented his place in basketball history when he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. In 1963-64, Goodrich and John Wooden lead the UCLA Bruins to a perfect 30-0 record and a NCAA Championship. In the following season, Goodrich lead the Bruins to their second consecutive title while winning College Player of the Year. At the next level, Goodrich was the leading scorer (25.9 ppg) on one of the greatest teams in NBA history, the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers, who won an incredible 33 consecutive games en route to the NBA Championship. The five-time All-Star has his No. 25 retired both for UCLA and the Lakers. Centered on the front tail is a “TIERNAN” manufacturer’s tag. Across the front of this purple knit road jersey is “LAKERS” done in gold on white tackle twill. Player number “25” appears on both the front and on the back in white on gold tackle twill. Across the back reads player name “GOODRICH” in gold on white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows great use. Accompanied by an additional LOA which states that this uniform was sourced from the Tiernan factory after the Lakers uniforms from the 1971-72 season were returned for reconditioning and possible subsequent use.
