Earl Lloyd was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003. On October 31, 1950, Lloyd played his first game for the Washington Capitols and became the first African-American to play in a NBA game. On the inside button path is a “MacGregor” size “48” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a “Griswold Sporting Goods Co.” distributor’s tag. On the inside of the left tail is a tag with washing instructions. On the back reads “PISTONS”. Player number “17” is on the left sleeve. These are both done in the same blue tackle twill with a red-stitching outline. There are four buttons on the back for a nameplate that would be able to snap on. This jacket is sans nameplate. This warm-up fleece is properly tagged, was presented to us as player-worn and in our opinion, shows appropriate wear.
