This white lab coat was worn at an Orlando Magic press conference announcing that Julius “Dr. J” Erving joined the organization as an Executive VP on June 5th, 1997. Accompanied by a press release announcing the press conference, dated June 4, 1997. Also accompanied by "Magic" magazine with photos from the actual conference with Dr. J wearing the labcoat. Inside the rear collar is a “Landau” manufacturer’s tag. On it reads “3145WWY” and size “52”. On the opposite side are washing instructions. On the left chest pocket, Erving signed in black pen with added inscription, “Dr. J ‘97”. and in our opinion rates a 9 overall. At one time an “RDV” sticker was on the right chest and has since fallen off. We were told by our consignor that he was present during this photoshoot and that this lab coast was given to him directly by Dr. J after the event. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
