“American Optical” manufactured plastic-rimmed bifocal eyeglasses once belonging to and worn by Joseph Bonanno, a.k.a “Joe Bananas”, former boss of the Bonanno crime family. The eyeglasses are in NM condition and accompanied by a color copy of a COA from Bonanno’s daughter-in-law, Rosalie Bonanno, where she wrote that the eyeglasses were “worn by Mr. B”. The eyeglasses are also accompanied by a bank check signed by Joseph Bonanno. The Arizona Bank check is dated May 25, 1973 and made out to “Keller’s Drug” in the amount of “$15.58”. Bonanno has initialed and signed the front of the check in blue ballpoint pen and in our opinion the signature rates a 8 overall. Bank stampings and tiny cancellation holes are present on the check.
