Joe Morgan is considered to be the greatest second baseman of all-time and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990. The 10-time All-Star won two World Series Championships with the Cincinnati Reds and was named the NL MVP in those same seasons. He won five straight Gold Gloves from 1973-77. On the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “40” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a tag with washing instructions, with a flag tag attached that reads “SET 1 1968”. Inside the rear collar is a felt strip tag with “40-18-68” embroidered on it in black stitching. Across the front reads “HOUSTON”. On the back is player number “18”. All numbering and lettering are done in the same navy blue felt on orange tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey jersey. On the left sleeve is an orange “ASTROS” disc patch. Morgan signed the jersey on the front right tail in blue pen and in our opinion rates a 9 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Magnificent all original condition. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
