First-ballot Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn was inducted in 2007. He won eight NL Batting Titles and was a 15-time All-Star. He also won the Silver Slugger Award seven times. His No. 19 is retired by the San Diego Padres. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “50” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below is a tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER”. Across the chest reads “PADRES” in navy blue on white tackle twill. Player number “19” appears on the back in the same navy blue on white tackle twill. Player number “19” appears on the front, along with the player name across the back “GWYNN” that are both done in the same navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the jersey. On the right sleeve is a “R” Russell Athletic logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is a “1969 Padres NATIONAL LEAGUE 1999” patch. Gwynn signed inside the back player number “1” in silver pen and in our opinion rates an 8 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
