Willie Mays was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979 on the first ballot. The two-time NL MVP is a 24-time All-Star and was named to both the MLB All-Century and All-Time teams. His No. 24 is retired by the San Francisco Giants. Inside on the rear sweatband is a “TIM McAULIFFE” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a “PRO KM CAP” and size “7 1/8” stamp. The player number “24” is written in black pen on the underside of the brim. On the front of the cap is the team’s “SF” logo embroidered in orange stitching. This cap is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and attributed to Willie Mays and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
