Ernie Banks was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977. The 14-time All-Star was a two-time NL MVP, years in which he led the league in both home runs and RBI. “Mr. Cub” has his No. 14 retired by the Chicago Cubs. On the inside below the rear collar is a “Wilson” size “42” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Below is a grey strip tag with, “14 74 1 42” embroidered on it. Across the chest reads, “CHICAGO”. Player number “14” appears on the front and on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in the same blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey jersey. On the left sleeve is a Cubs team logo patch. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn by Ernie Banks as a Cubs’ coach and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
