Phil Niekro was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. Niekro's 318 career victories are the most by a knuckleball pitcher, and he ranks 16th on the overall all-time wins list. On the inside below the rear collar is a “Wilson” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Below is a grey strip tag with, “77 44” embroidered on it. Across the chest reads, “Braves”. This part of the jersey has been restored. Player number “35” appears on the front and on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in the same blue on white tackle twill with a red-stitched border. On the left sleeve is the team’s logo in red, white and blue tackle twill. Niekro signed the jersey above the front player number in blue pen and in our opinion rates a 7 overall. The team name “Atlanta” has been removed off the front. This jersey was sent down to the minors, where “Braves” was put on the front. The outline of “Atlanta” is very visible. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an LOA from a former Braves stadium employee.
