Manuf: Adirondack/Rawlings, Model: 113A, Length: 35.5 in., Weight: 33.5 oz., Wood: Ash, Labeling Period: 1980, Condition: Uncracked. A few ball marks and stitch impressions are visible on the left barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. Also visible on the bat are green bat rack streaks and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle. The model number “113A”, order number “102” and year “0” are stamped into the knob. McCovey’s number “44” is written on the knob in black marker and the weight “32” is written in blue ink. McCovey has signed the barrel of the bat along with the added inscription, “Best Wishes”. The signature is done in blue marker and, in our opinion, rates a 9. The bat features a flat knob and top barrel that was a special request by McCovey himself. The bat exhibits evidence of moderate use. Accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA grading the bat an 8. Further accompanied by an LOA from JSA for the signature.
