1984-85 Reggie Jackson California Angels Game-Used Batting Helmet

We were told by our consignor that the helmet was acquired from a clubhouse source at the end of the 1985 season. Reggie Jackson was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 1993. On the underside of the bill reads the manufacturer’s name, “AMERICAN BASEBALL CAP” in relief along with "MEDIA, PENNA.", "U.S. PATENT NO.2,698,434" and the size "L". The inner padding is intact. On the back of the helmet is the “ABC” logo, with a piece of Dymo tape on it that reads, “JAX 44”. Another piece of Dymo tape is on the topside of the bill that reads, “JACKSON”. On the front of the helmet is an “A” Angels logo. This batting helmet is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used by Reggie Jackson and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
