Willie McCovey was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986. The San Francisco Giants slugger was a three-time NL home run champion, two-time RBI champion, six-time All-Star and the NL MVP in 1969. Inside below the rear collar is a “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions and the number “50” stitched on. Below is a large player number “44” patch. Player number “44” is written on it in marker. The black bench jacket has a “Giants” patch on the left sleeve. This jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn on the bench by McCovey and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
