Gary Carter was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. Hall of Fame hitters hit against all pitching, even the great ones. Carter recorded his 2,000th career hit against Hall of Fame inductee Tom Glavine, on 7/5/1991. “Rawlings” manufactured OAL baseball. Written in black marker reads, “JULY 5, 1991 DODGER STADIUM – 2,000th – HIT OFF TOM GLAVINE”. Glavine signed the baseball in blue pen, and in our opinion rates a 5 overall. The baseball shows great signs of game-use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and a Carter family LOA.

This lot is consigned to us directly from the Carter Family in an effort to raise money for their charity, The Gary Carter Foundation.

The Gary Carter Foundation aims to better the physical, mental and spiritual well being of children as well as its primary focus, the Autism Project of Palm Beach County. We are proud supporters of their efforts and hope that the auctioning off of these items aids their efforts.
