On the inside of the black-framed glasses reads, “B&L RAY-BAN U.S.A” and “WAYFARER”. These glasses were presented to us as stage-worn and in our opinion show appropriate use. Accompanied by a Jack Sperling LOA, who was a professional drummer who played with Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis, Louis Armstrong, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and others. The letter reads, “I was getting ready to do a daytime concert with Bob in the Midwest and the sun was glaring in our eyes. Bob took off and handed me this pair of Ray Ban sunglasses to obstruct the view of the sun…I know you will cherish these sunglasses as much as I have and enjoy it for years to come. They are truly a piece of Pop Music history.” Also accompanied by a picture of Dylan wearing these style glasses and a tag from when Sperling acquired the item.
