Following their victory over the Packers in Super Bowl XXXII, the Denver Broncos entered the 1998 NFL playoffs as a wild card team with the league’s best offense. The Broncos would go on to defeat the Jaguars, Chiefs and Steelers on their way to representing the AFC in Super Bowl XXXIII against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons led early with a chance to extend it, but Morten Anderson missed a rare field goal and the veteran John Elway responded with an 80-yard touchdown pass to Rod Smith. Denver led 31-6 at one point, before Tim Dwight returned a kickoff for a score. The Falcons got into scoring position red zone seven times, but came away with just one touchdown and a pair of field goals. Elway led the Broncos with 336 passing yards and two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing. His performance would earn him Super Bowl MVP honors in what would be the final game of his Hall of Fame career. Playing behind Terrell Davis, Loville saw limited action in the playoffs but made the most of his appearance in the opening round against Jacksonville by racking up over 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This size 11.5, 14k gold players ring weighs 71 grams with a total diamond weight of 5.00 carats. The top panel reads “WORLD CHAMPIONS”. Twenty round full-cut deep yellow diamonds, four trilliant-cut diamonds, two brilliant-cut pear-shaped diamonds, two marquise-cut diamonds, and forty round full-cut diamonds make up the two Broncos on the face of the ring, symbolizing the Broncos back-to-back championships. Twelve princess-cut diamonds are channel set on the left and right sides of the mounting. Twenty-two full-cut diamonds are bead-set into the top and bottom sides. The left panel displays a casting of the player name “LOVILLE” above six bead-set diamonds on an engraved crown featuring the NFL shield and “17-2”, the Broncos’ record from that season. The player number “31” appears in relief along with the year “1998” engraved below. On the right panel is “DENVER BRONCOS” above two marquise-cut diamonds that are prong-set atop two Lombardi trophies. The final score of the game, “BRONCOS 34 - FALCONS 19”, has been cast into the panel above the Super Bowl XXXIII logo and “BACK 2 BACK” has been engraved below. The ring is in MINT overall condition and comes with a copy of a letter from Loville that states "This is the authentic Super Bowl 33 ring that I earned with the Denver Broncos. I played running back on that team."
