Dave Cowens was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1991. The seven-time All-Star won the regular season MVP award for the 1972-73 season and continued his success the following season by being part of the 1973-74 NBA champions. The Boston Celtics defeated league MVP Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and the Milwaukee Bucks in seven games. Cowens was named to the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. On the front left tail is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag that reads, “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS”. Below is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Across the chest reads, “CELTICS”. Player number “18” appears on the front and on the back. Across the back reads the player name, “COWENS”. All numbering and lettering are done in the same green tackle twill sewn directly onto the white knit jersey. On the inside on the rear waistline is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag that reads, “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS”. This tag has the number “3” written on it in black marker. Adjacent is a “Sand-Knit” size “36” manufacturer’s tag. On inside rear center seam is a “100% NYLON” tag with washing instructions. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by an LOA from Cowens.
