In November of 2011, a 1978 Julius Erving NBA All-Star ring identical in every aspect to what we are offering here, sold at SCP Auctions for over $235,000 (auction listing). It is obvious that Erving was given two rings in honor of his participation in the 1978 NBA All-Star Game. This lot is accompanied by a hand-signed LOA from "Dr. J's" son Julius Erving III."I am writing this letter to attest to the authenticity of this Atlanta NBA All-Star ring that was presented to my father, Julius Erving, in 1978. The ring was personally given to me by my father and has remained in my possession until now. I hope it makes a great addition to your collection."
