Once the merge with the NBA was complete, Erving continued to be one of the NBA’s best players. In 1993, Erving was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He won two ABA championships and one NBA championship and was named to the ABA All-Time Team and the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. After earning three straight ABA MVP awards (1974-76), Erving went on to win the NBA MVP award in 1981. On the front left tail is a “PEARSON” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a “Wilson” size “40” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag that reads, “LONG”. Across the chest reads, “SIXERS”. Player number “6” appears on the front and on the back. These are done in white on blue tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “ERVING” in white tackle twill sewn directly onto the red mesh jersey. On the inside of the shorts below the rear waistline is a “Wilson” size “34” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a faded blank flag tag. Adjacent is a “PEARSON” distributor’s tag. Below is a red strip tag with, “80 6” embroidered on it in white chain-stitching. On the right thigh area is a “76ers” team logo disc patch in blue and red chain-stitching on white tackle twill. There is no 35th anniversary patch on the shorts. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by an LOA from Julius Erving III.

"I am writing this letter to attest to the authenticity of this game-used uniform that was worn by my father, Julius Erving, during his playing days with the Philadelphia 76ers. The uniform was personally given to me by my father and has remained in my possession until now. I hope it makes a great addition to your collection."
