Hank Mazur played both offense and defense for Army football and his impact on the program is difficult to explain to someone who was not there. In Mazur’s debut for Army, a newspaper stated “...while his team didn’t even win, Mazur stole the spotlight...(he) did everything but pass the ball back from center. He was in on every play...Three times he punted and then rushed down to tackle the receiver.” On the inside of the rear crotch-piece is a "KING Sportswear COMPANY" manufacturer's tag. Attached below is a size "44" tag. Adjacent, the number "24" is stamped twice. Adjacent is a "THORP" distributor's tag. It is not entirely affixed. On the inside below the rear collar is a tag that reads, "DRY CLEAN ONLY" and another tag below that has been cut. The player number "45" appears on the front and on the back in navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the white jersey. It appears that a second layer of material may have been removed from the numbers. The jersey has many holes throughout every part of the jersey. This WWII Era jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
