This 22K gold on Sterling Silver belt buckle was given to Ernie Stautner as a gift. The buckle is approximately 3 ½" x 2 ½" and reads 19 Dallas Cowboys 74 around the top of the buckle. Ernie was coaching the Dallas Cowboys at this time. Ernie Stautner is written around the bottom of the buckle. In the middle is a Dallas Cowboy helmet and the #70. Ernie was a defensive star for the Steelers and went on to be a very successful coach for the Cowboys. He was inducted into Football's Hall of Fame in 1969. The buckle is in very good to excellent condition.
