To own an All-American sweater in the 1940s was to own the world. Which may explain why Pitt University's Ernie Borelli kept this dashing, classic-look sweater in his possession for over 55 years. We take pride in offering it to those with a keen sense of football's past glory, as this is a piece of Americana that makes history come to life. The sweater is white and the sewn-on "All-American 1945" patch is a vivid red, white and blue. In the crew neck is a blue and gold "King Sportswear" label. The white color has faded with age to a light tan and there is some modest discoloration and signs of general wear, but other than a small hole on the left sleeve the sweater is in remarkably beautiful condition. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Borelli.
