It can get cold standing on the sidelines on a bone-freezing day in Pittsburgh, but Pitt's Ernie Borelli would have felt like a bug in a rug if he had wrapped himself in this strikingly beautiful wool blanket that was issued to him for being named to the All-American team in 1945. Borelli kept the brilliantly-colored red, white and blue blanket for over half a century in his possession and it shows remarkably little wear. At the middle of the 53" x 65" blanket is a crest-like "All-American 1945" patch that measures 9" x 10" at its widest points and, like the blanket as a whole, is stunningly vivid and in near-immaculate condition. This keepsake of history comes with a letter of authenticity from Borelli.
