Karl Malone was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. Considered one of the best power forwards to ever play, he has scored the second most career points in NBA history. We were told by our consignor that this jersey originated from the personal collection of Malone's teammate, Bryon Russell. This jersey was originally sourced with a letter stating that was purchased directly from Russell but has since been misplaced. On the front left tail is the “Champion” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and size “52” with flag tag “+4 LENGTH”. Adjacent to the left is another “Champion” manufacturer’s tag reading “DESIGNED & TAILORED BY Champion EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE UTAH JAZZ” with flag tag “2001-2002”. The jersey is a carry-over to the 2002-03 season and it the 9/11 ribbon patch is not present. On the left inseam are two tags, one reading “100% POLYESTER” and the other reading “MADE IN THE USA”. On the left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered in red, white and blue. Across the front reads “JAZZ” in light blue and purple on white tackle twill. Adjacent below is the player number “32” in white and lavender on teal tackle twill. Across the back is the player name “MALONE” in white tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use.

Please note that a correction and/or update has been made to this lot and the printed catalog differs from what is online.
