This brass trophy stands 14.5” tall and weighs 7 pounds. The silver plaque on the front reads “The Camel Awards - COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR - 1983-84 (listed incorrectly) - Michael Ray Richardson - NEW JERSEY NETS - National Basketball Players Association”. The trophy features a female figure holding a child in the air surrounded by rings representing the lines of a basketball. Attached to the rings are brass letters that read “NBA PLAYERS”. Richardson won Comeback Player of the Year for the 1984-85 season. The trophy incorrectly dates it as the 1983-84 season when Adrian Dantley won the award. During the 1984-85 season, Richardson averaged 20.1 points, 8.2 assists, and lead the league with 3 steals per game after playing in only 48 games the previous season. The trophy is in VG-EX condition but still presents well with moderate tarnish to the brass. Accompanied by a LOA from Michael Ray Richardson, which also incorrectly dates the trophy.
