Hall of Famer Magic Johnson had a truly astonishing rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers as they selected him first overall out of Michigan State in the 1979 NBA Draft. Johnson averaged 18 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game during the regular season as the Lakers advanced to the NBA Finals. The Lakers would go on to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers in six games and Johnson was named the Finals MVP where he averaged 21.5 points, 11.2 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game. “Converse” manufactured “ALL STAR” white and purple sneakers. Stamped on the inside of each sneaker is the size “14 ½”. On the back of each sneaker reads “CONVERSE” in white. On the outside ankle of each reads “MAGIC” in purple. On both sides of each is the Converse “Star” logo also in purple. The top of the tongue and on the bottom of each reads “CONVERSE ALL STAR”. The sneakers are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show excellent use with deterioration. Accompanied by detailed letter from our consigner, the ball boy, attesting to their lineage.
